Safety Rules-Must Read-

SAFETY RULES

LifeStriders strives to provide a safe riding experience for all of our participants and requires that all participant families abide by our safety regulations. As we all gear up for another exciting year, we ask that you please review our safety rules.

  • Please do not park in or block the upper level driveway. All cars must park or turn to exit in the parking area behind the barns.
  • To avoid traffic jams in the driveways please arrive earlier than your designated class time and park your car in the back barn parking lot. Please exit carefully 5 minutes after class time has started if you plan to leave during the class.
  • Parents or guardians must keep siblings, friends and relatives of the rider in the Viewing Areas. Please do not bring pets.
  • Please do not feed or pet the horses without permission. NEVER HAND FEED THE HORSES
  • Please do not climb or lean on any fences.
  • No one is to enter the garages or the house’s upper level without permission.
  • In order to ensure the safest riding conditions, we ask that children and visitors refrain from screaming, running, or ball playing on the premises.
  • Only the rider and staff/volunteers are allowed in the teaching arena.
  • Do not feed the horses on your own. We will allow riders to give their horse a treat from a container, not hand feed. NEVER HAND FEED THE HORSES
  • While your child is riding please refrain from giving them instructions.

Attire

  • A helmet must be worn at all times during the lesson hour. SEI helmets are required and provided at LifeStriders, if the rider does not already own one.
  • Riders MUST wear long pants to ride, jeans are preferred. No riding will be allowed if the rider is wearing shorts or capris.
  • All Riders MUST wear close toed sturdy shoes to ride. No one will be allowed to ride or be around the horses if they are bare foot or in sandals. We prefer the shoes have a ¼” heel rather than tennis-type shoes. Tennis shoes, hiking boots or other such shoes are acceptable. No crocs or sandals of any kind please.
  • Volunteers must wear sturdy close- toed shoes.
  • Volunteers- Please refrain from wearing clothes that are too tight or revealing- No tank tops, bra tops etc.
